The Team

As part of the Digital Payments team, I supported core products including MDES SEND and MACS.

Key Contributions

Managed the team's Redis infrastructure while strategically bridging the gap between technical operations and product management.

Achievements

  • Identified customer and operational pain points related to database instability, analyzed Redis key-space metrics, and pinpointed missing TTLs as the root cause. Defined the product solution by partnering with the engineering team to establish features and requirements, then built and deployed the necessary code changes with them. Validated that TTLs were correctly applied and confirmed a sustained reduction in out-of-memory alerts and related incidents.

  • Developed strategic product roadmaps and managed the backlog for Redis-related infrastructure enhancements.

  • Gathered requirements for new builds, translated them into clear user stories, and implemented tasks to ensure high availability.

  • Led upgrades and system maintenance while keeping requirements clear, coordinating with stakeholders to schedule outage windows and partnering across time zones to avoid downtime for millions of transactions globally.
