The Team
Initially recruited to assist with recruitment of engineers, but quickly transitioned into a Business Analyst to help develop an in house built Applicant Tracking System
Key Contributions
Identified an improvement in the recruiting process and drove the build of an Applicant Tracking System
Achievements
-
Spotted a broken process — recruiters at the staffing division were managing their entire candidate pipeline in Excel, losing applicants in the noise and missing follow-ups. I didn't wait to be asked. I proposed a solution, got buy-in, and led the full delivery of a Digital Applicant Tracking System from scratch — just me and one engineer, MVP in 3 months.
-
Went directly to the recruiters before writing a single requirement. Sat with them, listened to their frustrations, and translated what I heard into a prioritized backlog using an impact-vs-effort framework. Every feature had a clear purpose — make the pipeline visible, make data entry fast, make it impossible to accidentally lose a candidate.
-
When stakeholders kept changing requirements mid-project, I built a PowerPoint mockup — clean, simple, nothing extravagant — and walked everyone through it screen by screen. It became the reference point that locked in alignment and stopped the cycle. The system launched on time, got strong adoption from day one, and gave recruiters back hours they'd been losing to manual tracking every week.
